Cathleen Swody, PhD, Managing Partner
Dr. Cathleen Swody is a trusted advisor and seasoned organizational psychologist with nearly two decades of experience helping leaders unlock their full potential. Specializing in executive coaching, leadership development, and talent strategy, she equips leaders with the insights and tools they need to make meaningful, lasting changes. Known for her practical, evidence-based approach, Cathleen helps leaders sharpen their decision-making, enhance team performance, and navigate complex challenges with confidence.
As the co-author of The Leadership Continuum, Cathleen’s expertise has been featured in top publications, including The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, Bloomberg, and Fast Company. Before founding Foster Talent Consulting, she co-founded Thrive Leadership and consulted for Leadership Research Institute and SBC Communications (now AT&T). She holds a Ph.D. and Master’s in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
A passionate advocate for leadership excellence, Cathleen has also served on the faculty of the University of Connecticut School of Business, where she taught graduate courses on leadership and relationship management. With her results-driven mindset and down-to-earth style, she is a sought-after coach, speaker, and consultant, empowering leaders to drive impact at every level.
